Getting to Know You

  1. Since I was in 8th grade, I have been playing volleyball.  I now play volleyball for the Fairleigh Dickinson Women's Volleyball Team.  I love this sport because it is always there for me.  Whether I am mad or upset, volleyball always improves my mood.  Plus, if my coach never recruited me, I would have never heard of/considered going to FDU.
  2. In my free time, I personally enjoy just relaxing.  I am passionate about distressing.  Taking naps, watching shows on Netflix, and even playing volleyball helps to relax me and take my mind off of reality.  When stress really gets to me, I end up in a nervous breakdown; therefore, I need to relax.
  3. The most ridiculous lie I have ever told was probably to my friend's mom for her.  I told her that my boyfriend's dad would be driving us to our vacation this past summer and then driving back home.  Meanwhile, my boyfriend was the one who drove.  We knew we would be safe, but her mom is always worried about everything.  We got away with it and I don't think she realized we lied to her.
  4. When I write, I usually sit at the computer and let the words flow.  If I mess up, then I delete it or just go back.  The only time I have ever really outlined my essay is DBQ's for history.  It helps to keep me organized.  I am capable of using one whenever, but it takes less time to just let it flow.
  5. So far, my writing experience has been good.  Having Professor Young last semester really improved my writing, so I hope to improve it even more this semester.
  6. I really haven't read a book recently because I haven't really had much free time.  The last one I remember reading cover to cover was The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.
  7. I am on social media for a good 20% of my day.  As unhealthy as it sounds, I like to be in touch with all of my friends and know what they are doing.  I don't write on them much, but I like to see what others write.
  8. I don't really have anything exact, but I want to learn how to take better notes while reading.  Hopefully reading and taking notes on The Good Lord Bird will help me improve.
  9. My definition of a hero is someone who does something/multiple things for someone else and doesn't need/ask for a reward at the end of it.  They do it out of the kindness of their heart.
  10. The last time I failed at something was this past semester.  My plan was to get an overall GPA of at least a 3.3.  I ended with a 3.116.  I learned that I really need to stay on top of my work, actually do my homework, and study hard for every quiz/test.
  11. With A being the highest, I think my writing is a B-.  It is not perfect, it always needs improvement, but it is getting much better.  I am excited to see what it will be at the end of this semester.

This is the FDU volleyball Team that I am on.
